Focussed. Determined. Relentless. I embody these attributes every time I go to bat for my clients. Through a detail-oriented approach to document review and analysis combined with strong oral and written advocacy, I assist all my clients in achieving positive outcomes in the face of difficult legal challenges.
Following the completion of my undergraduate degree at Carleton University, I attended Bond University in Australia where I obtained my Juris Doctor with First Class Distinction. While studying at Bond I was elected as Competitions Director of the Canadian Law Students’ Association and later as President, where I served for three consecutive semesters. I also received a number of awards for mooting and First-In-Class, and was placed on the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence. I further volunteered as a Student Advisor for the Bond Commercial Law Clinic, where I assisted with the provision of pro-bono legal advice to local small business owners.
I joined Chand Snider as an articling student in 2019 and developed strengths in civil and commercial litigation, regulatory compliance and defence, and business law. As an articling student I regularly appeared in the Small Claims Court and the Ontario Court of Justice and assisted senior counsel on complex matters before the Superior Court of Justice. I also worked with new companies on business law matters with a particular focus on assisting entrepreneurs in the cannabis industry with corporate, compliance and licensing issues.
Following my call to the bar in 2020, I have continued to provide the same level of dedication and support to my clients as an associate lawyer with Chand Snider. By working in all of the firm’s practice areas I have developed a select group of clients that routinely seek my advice. I attribute my success to always being honest, authentic and client focused.
In my free time, you can find me camping, hiking, fishing, attending concerts, or throwing a ball with my partner for our French bulldog, Tony.
