  • Professional Regulation and Discipline
  • Criminal Defence

I am an experienced advocate and litigator. My practice includes civil, commercial, and regulatory litigation as well as criminal defence. I support all my clients with strong oral and written advocacy skills I have developed prosecuting and defending hundreds of actions. As a result of my diversified legal experience, I am able to take on multifaceted cases where a client may face a threat to their business, livelihood or reputation on more than one front.

Following my call to the bar I practiced at a litigation boutique in downtown Toronto where I handled complex civil, criminal and regulatory cases and gained valuable trial experience. Early in my career I enjoyed success in high profile cases and these accomplishments led me to create my own firm with other prominent lawyers.

extensive experience

I have appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, and the Electrical Safety Authority Review Panel. I have also acted as independent counsel to regulators in Ontario and as counsel in numerous private mediations and arbitrations.

My client base is drawn from a select group of professionals, entrepreneurs, trades people, and business owners. I am a strategic thinker and I leverage my educational and professional background to solve legal problems and create solutions for clients. Importantly, I am not afraid to think outside the box when it comes to novel cases and always consider a wide range of options.

I recognize that a combination of strong written and oral advocacy is the key to winning cases both inside and outside the courtroom. I also believe that a combination of the right legal team is essential to success in litigation. As such, I have surrounded myself with lawyers and staff who are respected in their field.

Prior to coming to the law I spent several years studying internationally before returning to Canada. When I am not in the office or spending time with my family, I do as much world traveling as possible, skateboard, ski and surf.
